We are so excited to bring Ann M. Martin to Harleysville Books!  Ann is introducing her newest book to the Baby-Sitters Club, The Summer Before (A Prequel to the BSC).

Teachers have a fantastic opportunity to meet Ann M. Martin during a private session for teachers only beginning at 4:30pm.  1 hour of ACT 48 Credit is available for all teachers attending.  Download the registration form to reserve your space.

At 5:30pm our doors will open and all fans will be able to meet Ann M. Martin.

When the "Baby-Sitters Club" series ended in the year 2000, Ann M. Martin, series author and co-originator, had become one of the best-known names in juvenile publishing. What started in 1986 as an idea for a four-book series to be published over the course of one year had ballooned fourteen years later into a mini-publishing industry with several spin-off titles, a television series, a movie, games, and various "Baby-Sitters Club" (BSC) merchandise to satisfy the needs of legions of faithful BSC readers. With over 180 million books in print in nineteen languages, the "Baby-Sitters Club" had obviously, as Sally Lodge noted in Publishers Weekly, "struck a resounding chord with preteen girls all over the world." Martin bid adieu to her readers with the final BSC volume, Graduation Day, but not good-bye to publishing.   Now Ann has come back to the BSC and has written the prequel, The Summer Before.

Books presented for signing at this event, must be purchased at Harleysville Books.  If you cannot attend the event, but would like to get a personalized, signed copy, please contact the store to make arrangements.
