2011 Summer Camps - Read the Book, Live the Adventure!

American Girl Summer Fun Camp - June 28-30, 10am-12pm - $90

This camp is perfect for the young lady entering 2nd through 5th grade who is new to American Girl or already in love with the historical characters.  Our three days together will include AG stories, games, crafts , art lessons and fun with food...all celebrating the joys of summer.

Magic Tree House Fun Day - July 12, 10am-12pm - $30 

This one day camp is perfect for true fans of Magic Tree House Series who are entering 2nd through 5th grades.  Our time together wll be spent solving riddles like Jack and Annie , playing games, answering trivia and creating adventures worthy of the Tree House.

Harry Potter Fun Day - July 14, 10am-12pm - $30 

This morning of magical fun is perfect for the wannabe witch or wizard entering 2nd through 5th grade.  We will spend our day like the kids at Hogwarts do: making potions and learning about the wonderful world of Harry Potter.  True fans of the book series will love this day.  This program will follow closely to the activities done in the wildly popular mini-camp we ran in the fall of 2010.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Oompa Loompa Fun Day - July 19, 10am-12pm - $30 

This day will be perfect for all things silly and fun who is entering 2nd through 5th grade in the fall.  Our time together will be spent playing games, doing crafts and even eating some chocolate!

Middle School Writing Camp - July 26-28, 10am -12pm - $120 

This camp returns from last summer by popular demand and will fill quickly.  Our children's program director, who is a former high school English teacher and newspaper reporter, will work with kids entering 6th through 8th grade on creative writing skills such as idea building, characterization and plot development.  This camp is meant for students serious about the creative writing progrcess.  It will be all writing, writing, and more writing!  Students will be expected to share their work.

Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Detective Fun Day - August 2, 10am-12pm - $30 

Kids entering 2nd through 5th grades will help our famous teen detectives (in spirit) solve an interactive mystery.  The day will be spent following clues, working together and using our brains to solve a fun, creative mystery.  This day is set up for independent readers.

American Girl Fun in History Camp - August 16-18, 10am-12pm - $90 

This 3 day camp will take girls through history by immersing them in games, foods and stories based on different American Girls in the book series. It will differ entirely from the AG Camp being held in June.  All girls entering 2nd through 5th grades will find something fun about this camp.
